Na příkladu záchytu tří případů onemocnění tularémií upozorňujeme na nutnost myslet v diferenciální diagnostice uzlinového syndromu nebo horeček nejasné etiologie také na toto onemocnění i mimo endemické oblasti. Předevąím je nutné precizně odebrat anamnézu, a to mimo pracovní také i cestování a hobby a uvědomovat si epidemiologické souvislosti.

V kasuistickém sdělení jsou podány základní údaje o původci onemocnění, diagnostice, terapii i prevenci. S růstem počtu osob, které se věnují lovu a následné manipulaci s těly zvířat, a to i nelegální formou, je nutno i na toto vzácné onemocnění nezapomínat.
