Článek se zabývá termínem hibernující myokard, patofyziologií tohoto jevu, možnostmi detekce a jeho významem pro klinickou praxi. Vysvětluje význam a důležitost nálezu viabilního myokardu pro další terapeutický postup u pacientů s ischemickou kardiomyopatií s omezenou funkcí levé komory.
