Cílem předkládané práce bylo posouzení souvislostí mezi výskytem jednotlivých ultrazvukových obrazů, protilátkovým profilem a poruchou funkce štítné žlázy u pacientů s chronickou lymfocytární tyreoiditidou. Za tříleté období byla diagnóza stanovena u 277 pacientů. Diagnostický ultrazvukový nález byl v 92 % případů, pozitivní protilátkový profil v 89 % případů. Z výsledků plyne, že zhruba u 10 % případů se nevyhneme provedení tenkojehlové aspirační cytologie ke stanovení diagnózy.
