Hybridní zobrazování výpočetní a pozitronovou emisní tomografií

Cílem sdělení je seznámit širokou lékařskou veřejnost s nejnovější zobrazovací modalitou, tzv. PET/CT. Jedná se o hybridní systém kombinující spirální výpočetní tomografii (CT) a pozitronovou emisní tomografii (PET). CT poskytuje detailní strukturální a anatomické informace, PET naopak funkční informace o regionálním metabolizmu. Kombinací obou informací získaných naráz při jednom vyšetření lze dosáhnout optimálního výstupu především v onkologické diagnostice. Autoři prezentují půlroční zkušenosti s prvním přístrojem v České republice instalovaným v Nemocnici Na Homolce.
Hybride imaging with computed and positron emission tomography PET/CT
The aim of this paper is to give information to the general medical community about the newest imaging modality, so called PET/CT. It represents the hybrid system, combining spiral computed tomograph (CT) and scanner dedicated for positron emission tomography (PET). CT offers detailed structural and anatomical information; PET on the other hand brings functional information about regional metabolism. Combining both information available at one investigation, the optimal output can be achieved primarily in oncological diagnostics. The authors present biannual experience with the first PET/CT scanner installed in the Na Homolce Hospital, Prague, the Czech Republic.
