Encephalitides

Encephalitides are inflammatory brain diseases usually caused by viruses, but also by other microbes. Clinical picture may by an asymptomatic disease, mild course, but also very severe course with lethal ending. I wanted to give an overview of some encephalitides in present article and to deal with problems of vaccination against Japanese encephalitis and tick borne meningoencephalitis. I have mentioned short case report of patient with dual infection of tick meningoencephalitis and Lyme disease at the end of this article.
