Tato kazuistika popisuje vznik a řešení velmi řídce se vyskytující komplikace kanylace centrální žíly. Při zavádění centrálního žilního katétru došlo při výkonu k neodhalenému odlomení koncové části drátěného zavaděče, s následnou RTG suspekcí a CT verifikací odlomeného fragmentu in situ, který byl úspěšně katétrizační technikou extrahován.
