-Významné místo mezi systémovými revmatickými chorobami zaujímá chronická zánětlivá, postupně progredující a destruující polyartritida. Tato nemoc významně ovlivňuje pohybové schopnosti nemocných, a tak vytváří skupinu jedinců, u kterých dochází poměrně rychle k omezování jejich uplatnění nejen v pracovní činnosti, ale nakonec i v rodinném životě.-

As an introduction to this part: -The special place among connective tissue disorders is occupied by chronic inflammatory, gradually debilitating and destructive polyarthritis. This disease leads to significant deterioration in patients motion abilities, thus forms a group of patients, who may experience increasing difficulty with daily activities causing limitations in their occupation. Eventually, family life may be severely compromised as well.-
