Článek podává souhrnný a stručný přehled o současných znalostech v oblasti etiopatogenze a diagnostiky hluboké žilní trombózy (flebotrombózy). Zaměřuje se zejména na vrozené trombofilní stavy, jejichž poznání představuje rychle se rozvíjející oblast základního a klinického výzkumu. V diagnostice flebotrombózy zdůrazňuje vyjímečné postavení barevné duplexní ultrasonografie, důležitost základního hematologického a koagulačního vyšetření a skríningu trombofilních stavů.

Deep Venous Trombosis - Current View of Etiopathogenesis and Diagnosis

The article gives summary and brief review of up-to-date knowledge of etiopathogenesis and diagnosis of deep venous trombosis (phlebotrombosis). Attention is directed towards congenital trombophilic states, understanding of which represents rapidly developing area of basic and clinical research. Special position in diagnosis of deep venous trombosis is occupied by color Doppler ultrasound, by importance of basic hematologic and coagulation testing and by screening of trombophilic states. These lab methods, which are supposed to follow up with a patient history and physical findings in patients under suspicion of deep venous trombosis, enable to prove an accurate anatomic location of trombotic lesion and address its cause and further prognosis in many cases.
