Some new facts about the relation of metabolic complications and fat tissue secretion in obese

The complications of obesity are not typical complications of a disease. The pathogenesis of obesity and these complications is common. Fat tissue is an active secretory organ, its hormones are influencing the whole body metabolism. The catabolic situation following moderate weight loss has great effect on the mortality and morbidity of obese patients. Lower fat adsorbtion after olrlistat treatment and direct effect of insulin sensitisers on the fat cell is also important. Obesity is becoming to be a curable disease.
