Autor se v přehledném článku zabývá problematikou hypertenze a diabetes mellitus, jejich vztahů, významu terapie hypertenze u diabetu zejména ve vztahu k makro- i mikrovaskulárním komplikacím. Článek podává návod k terapii hypertenze u diabetika.

Hypertension and diabetes mellitus

The article is concerned with the problems of hypertension and diabetes mellitus, individually and in combination, and with the importance of the treatment of hypertension in d iabetic patients, especially with regards to the micro and macrovascular complications. The article gives the global recommendations for the treatment of hypertension in diabetic patients.
