Článek se zabývá aspekty ischemické choroby srdeční (ICHS) u žen a soustřeďuje se na její odlišnosti ve srovnání s ICHS u mužů co se týče výskytu, symptomů, diagnózy a léčby. Podrobněji se zabývá otázkou hormonální substituční terapie a uvádí výsledky posledních studií zkoumajících účinek této terapie na primární a sekundární prevenci ICHS u žen.
