Obesity - a serious problem of the modern era

In the article some real problems in the sphere of obesity are discussed. The epidemiological situation and some aspects of the aetiopathogenesis are outlined. Obesity is defined as a serious chronic desease and often as a risk factor itself for increased morbidity and mortality. With obesity social and economic situations, both individually and in the frame of society, become worse which leads to a decrease in the quality of life. In patients who are overweight we can see an increase in the number of complicationes and comorbities.
