Dna patří mezi nejstarší onemocnění lidstva, o kterém existují již zprávy ze starověku, zejména však z posledních dvou století. Následující přehled zahrnuje novodobou epidemiologii i moderní poznatky o metabolizmu kyseliny močové v organizmu, etio­patogenetické souvislosti, patologicko-anatomický obraz i kliniku. Prezentuje i mimokloubní komplikace provázející dnu, vyšetřovací metody, diagnostická kritéria, klasifikaci onemocnění i léčebné možnosti.

GOUT

Gout belongs to the oldest diseases of the mankind. There are some reports existing already in the ancient, but most of them are from last two centuries. The following overview includes current epidemiology and modern knowledge of uric acid metabolism, etiopathogenetic correlations, patology and clinical features. The artikle also presents extraarticular complication, associated with gout, investigating methods, diagnostic criteria, classification of the disease and the treatment.
