Leg ulcer - diagnostic and treatment

The therapy of leg ulcers is based on the perfect knowledge of the differencial diagnosis of the chronic wounds of the leg. The proper and prompt diagnosis of the origin of the leg ulcer and its elimination is the most important thing. The choice of right dressing is an other important part of the therapy. Knowledge of the physiology of the normal wound healing and factors which the healing rate retard is necessary. The therapeutic strategy has to be based on the elimination of the origin of the disease, the most appropriate dressing and solving the subjective symptoms.
