V kazuistice je podrobně uvedena anamnéza a akutní klinika pacientky s myxomem levé síně prolabujícím do levé komory. Kromě teoretických aspektů jsou doloženy zobrazovací metody stanovující definitivní diagnózu myxomu. Je poukázáno na složitost diferenciální diagnostiky bolesti na hrudi, zejména ve spojitosti s centrální symptomatologií, a významnou roli echokardiografie.
