Prevalence migrény obnáší cirka 6 % mužů a 18 % žen. Jde o chronické, paroxyzmální onemocnění s častým familiárním výskytem. Migréna je v České republice poddiagnostikována a nedostatečně léčena. Předložená publikace shrnuje novou klasifikaci migrény a popisuje klinický obraz migrenózního záchvatu. Ve stručnosti jsou uvedeny základní diferenciálně diagnostické problémy a soudobé léčebné postupy.

Migraine

Migraine prevalence is about 6 % in males and 18 % in females. It-s chronic, intermittent disease with frequent familiar incidence. Migraine is underdiagnosed in Czech Republic and is treated insufficiently. Article presents new classification of migraine and describes a clinical picture of migraine attack. Key problems of differential diagnostics and current treatment procedures are briefly mentioned.
