Autor ve svém sdělení věnuje pozornost neformálním možnostem pomoci v krizových situacích (svépomoc a laická vzájemná pomoc), následně pak shrnuje východiska a pracovní postupy krizové intervence.

How can we help people in psychic crisis

A psychic crisis is defined as a response to external events when an individiual is unable to cope with these events, to face them by means of his/her usual adaptive mechanisms and earlier experiences. The aim of help in crisis is to support individual´s autonomous capacities, to mobilize his/her own sources for managing the crisis, to apply possibilities possesed by the environment of the affected person. Professional crisis intervention itself represents skilled form of help. In his report, the autor has paid attention to informal possibilities of help in crisis situations (self-help and laical reciprocal help), and has summed up sources and working methods of crisis intervention.
