Retardované mononitráty v klinické praxi

Nitráty dělíme na přípravky I. a II. generace. Do I. generace řadíme trinitráty (nitroglycerin) a isosorbid dinitrát (2-5 ISDN). Do II.generace zařazujeme aktivní metabolit ISDN isosorbid 5 mononitrát (5-ISMN). Retardovaná forma 5-ISMN je nazývána III. generací a s tímto preparátem proběhla v letech 2003/2004 velká klinická studie MAPS (Mononitrate in angina pectoris study). Retardovaný isosorbid mononitrát (Olicard retard) byl podáván 4269 nemocným se stabilní anginou pectoris. Ke sníľení stenokardií doąlo u 2 614 (61%) nemocných a ke sníľení spotřeby krátkodobých nitrátů u 2 898 (68%) nemocných. Sníľení stenokardií, zmírnění duąnosti a pokles spotřeby krátkodobých nitrátů bylo vysoce statisticky významné (vąe p < 0,0001).
