Acute renal failure in intensive care is very frequent complication and its development markedly worsen prognosis of the patients. In case of development of multiorgan failure mortality increase up to 80% (1,2). In intensive care units, we find in most cases renal affection connected with acute tubular necrosis, with the impact of ischemic or toxic influences or both together. This paper review quiet frequent cause of renal lesion by myoglobin from rhabdomyolysis. The most frequent cause of its origin is trauma and intoxication. Some papers even mention rhabdomyolysis as a cause of acute renal failure in 5–10 % (2). Whereas transient hemodialysis need 28–37 % of the patients. There are many other causes of the development of rhabdomyolysis, which don´t cause in most of the cases renal failure, but it´s important to mention them as well.

Keywords: Key words: rhabdomyolysis, myoglobin, acute renal failure.
