A Raynaud´s phenomenon belongs to functional vessel disorders. It is a paroxysmal attack of vasoconstriction of peripheral parts of extremities caused by cold or emotion. Raynaud´s phenomenon can be classified as a Raynaud´s disease, if it presents without a known cause or a secondary Raynaud´s syndrome, if it presents as a part of some other underling disease. Secondary Raynaud´s syndrome may be caused by prolonged exposition of vibration while working with a manually operated pneumatic tools and vibration machines. The disease is considered to be an occupational disease. In years 1995–2006, 531 cases were acknowledged as occupational diseases of Raynaud’s phenomenon from vibration. The prognosis after removal of exposition of vibration is favourable.
