Differential diagnosis and treatment of lower limb oedema

Lower limb oedema is a common reason for seeing a physician. The paper summarizes the aetiology, clinical presentation, differential

diagnosis and treatment of individual types of oedema with a focus on lower limb oedema, chronic venous insufficiency and lymphoedema.

Correct diagnosis of oedema is essential for choosing adequate therapy.
