Antiplatelet and anti-inflammatory effect of statins

The paper provides a short general introduction to and an overview of antiplatelet and anti-inflammatory effect of statins. The underlying

pathophysiology, mechanism and significance for clinical practice are briefly mentioned. The areas that are still subject to intensive

research are outlined.
