Polymyalgia rheumatica as a cause of chronic polyarthralgias

Polymyalgia rheumatica (PR) is linked to giant-cell arteritis in up to thirty percent of cases, which is also the case of the present case

report of an elderly woman with chronic polyarthralgias and high inflammatory markers. A broad differential diagnostic spectrum of

these conditions and advantages of the PET/CT examination are highlighted.
