The work describes the problems of urinary incontinence in women. It focuses on the contemporary definition, the distribution of

individual types of incontinence, diagnostics and treatment. Urinary incontinence in women is becoming a serious socio-economic

problem. Treatment is complex due to multifactorial causes. It includes a variety of therapies. In order that these procedures be most

effective, they should focus on careful diagnosis and the treatment should be individually directed. The main therapeutic procedures

include physical therapy with rehabilitation, medical and surgical treatment. The current methods achieve good results.
