Selective coronary angiography is routinely performed procedure used to diagnose coronary artery disease. It is an invasive examination
and preparation for this procedure has several important aspects. Given that it is an examination using the contrast medium, very
important are precautions for prevention of contrast-induced nephropathy (CIN), special caution should be taken in patients with a history
of allergic reaction to contrast medium, polyvalent allergy or in patients with thyroid disease. Specific preparation concerns also
antiplatelet and anticoagulant therapy. Some important arrangements are also needed in patients with diabetes.
