Author presents new classification and diagnostic algorithm for neuropathic pain. Next section gives overview of recent therapeutic

guidelines – EFNS and IASP. Newly introduced drugs and local therapeutics are presented, along with the perspectives of future evolution

of pharmacotherapy of the neuropathic pain.
